Residential Development Associate – Birmingham – 3+ PQE – Competitive Salary + Bonus + Flexible Working
A leading national legal and professional services group is looking to recruit a Residential Development Associate in Birmingham. The firm's residential development unit is the largest in the UK, with 200 specialists acting for the top 10 UK housebuilders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a residential development or commercial property solicitor in Birmingham to work on complex, large-scale land acquisitions for major housebuilders across England and Wales.
Offering flexible working, genuine investment in career development and a comprehensive flexible benefits package, this role is ideal for an ambitious Associate seeking high-calibre development work within a market-leading team.
The Role
- Advising on complex, large-scale land acquisitions for major housebuilders across England and Wales
- Drafting and negotiating collaboration agreements between developers
- Handling disposals of serviced parcels to housing associations
- Advising on funding arrangements
- Working on strategic land options
- Involvement in urban regeneration projects
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships within a nationally recognised team
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Birmingham residential development team

The Candidate
- Solicitor with 3 years' or more PQE
- Experience acting for housebuilder clients is advantageous but not essential
- Commercial development solicitors looking to move into residential development are welcomed
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills across land acquisition and development documentation
- Genuine passion for land acquisition and development work
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Well organised with strong attention to detail
- Ambitious, collaborative and committed to their own career development
