Role Description
The Residential Experience Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at the University of Worcester. This position supports students living in university residences by helping to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging living environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role also involves working with residential and student support teams, monitoring communal areas, addressing basic welfare concerns, and contributing to initiatives that enhance the overall residential experience.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, respond to queries promptly, and support residential activities.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities to address concerns, manage challenging situations, and follow appropriate escalation processes.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to work closely with residential life, student support, and campus services staff.
- Basic IT proficiency (e.g., email, word processing, data entry) and ability to learn relevant university systems.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality, diversity, and inclusion principles in a residential setting.
- Previous experience in customer service, student support, hospitality, or residential life is beneficial.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends in line with residential needs; familiarity with higher education environments is an advantage.
