The business supports organisations and private clients with commercial property transactions, private client work, and residential sales and purchases.

With offices in New Mills, Urmston, and Wilmslow, the firm offers accessible, locally based legal support to diverse communities.

Role Description

The Residential Fee Earner will manage a caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Taking instructions from clients
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Liaising with estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
  • Progressing files from initial instruction through to completion

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Urmston, working closely with colleagues to support the smooth running of the residential property department.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in Residential Real Estate, including handling a varied conveyancing caseload.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain legal processes clearly and build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, demonstrating a client-focused approach and attention to detail in all interactions.
  • Commercial awareness and basic Sales skills, including the ability to identify opportunities for cross-referrals and support business development initiatives.
  • Relevant legal qualification (e.g., solicitor, licensed conveyancer, legal executive) or substantial experience as a residential fee earner. Three years PQE is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain accurate, compliant file records.
  • Proficiency with conveyancing case management systems and standard office software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment while taking ownership of individual caseload responsibilities.
