Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Residential Lettings Negotiator role based in Wakefield. The role involves managing enquiries from prospective tenants, arranging and conducting property viewings, and providing clear, timely feedback to landlords and applicants. The Residential Lettings Negotiator will prepare and update property listings, support the marketing of available homes, and help match tenants with suitable properties.

Day-to-day activities include:

- Handling telephone and email communications
- Progressing applications
- Collecting required documentation
- Supporting the move-in process
The role also requires:
- Maintaining accurate records in the lettings system
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Upholding the company’s standards of professionalism and service
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple properties, viewings, and applications efficiently.
- Basic IT proficiency, including use of email, CRM or property management systems, and online property portals.
- Sales or negotiation experience in property, retail, or a similar customer-facing environment is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of residential lettings processes and an understanding of relevant regulations and good practice (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work on-site in Wakefield, including occasional early evening or weekend viewings as required.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering a positive client experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for property visits is advantageous.
- Previous experience in estate agency or property lettings is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
