Residential Liaison Officer

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire

Job Type: Full Time | 6-Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week | 8:30am - 5:00pm


Residential Liaison Officer - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established national contractor for an experienced Residential Liaison Officer to support a major refurbishment programme based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team, acting as the key point of contact between residents, site teams and the client. You'll play an essential role in ensuring residents are kept fully informed throughout the programme, helping to deliver an excellent customer experience while minimising disruption.

If you have previous experience within social housing, planned maintenance or refurbishment projects and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents before, during and after planned works.
  • Conduct pre-start visits to explain the programme of works, timescales and access requirements.
  • Produce and distribute resident communications, including letters, newsletters and project updates.
  • Respond to resident enquiries, complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate appointments between residents and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all resident interactions and outcomes.
  • Identify vulnerable residents and work alongside housing providers and support services where additional assistance is required.
  • Attend resident meetings and community engagement events where necessary.
  • Liaise closely with Site Managers and Contracts Managers to resolve access issues and minimise disruption.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and ensure GDPR and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

About You

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Residential Liaison Officer, Resident Liaison Officer or within a customer-facing role in construction, social housing, property maintenance or planned works.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working alongside Housing Associations, Local Authorities or public sector clients.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and customer management systems.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and supporting vulnerable residents.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit, roofing or decarbonisation projects.
  • NVQ or recognised qualification in Customer Service or Resident Liaison.
  • Current DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
