You will need excellent knowledge of compliance frameworks, alongside experience managing student-facing service delivery. Brunel’s Student Living is one of the largest London-based residential campuses and has achieved Investor in People Gold status for its people-focused leadership.

Responsibilities

As Residential Operational Services Manager, you will lead and develop high-quality services for students, planning and monitoring resource use, overseeing professional standards, and continuously evaluating service delivery. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help drive improvements to processes and policies, and contribute to new initiatives with a focus on continual service enhancement.

  • Lead and supervise a team of Housekeeping Supervisors, Assistants, and Operatives
  • Manage regular audits and inspections
  • Support seasonal planning, team development, and project delivery
  • Motivate a diverse team and form strong working relationships across and beyond the University
  • Manage operational detail with well-developed communication skills
  • Regular report writing and delivery

Requirements

  • Flexibility to support a high-quality, 24/7 customer-focused service
  • Some weekend working
  • Limited annual leave availability during peak times
  • Occasional work on Bank Holidays and University Closure Days
  • Strong ability to engage and lead others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in property management and effective team leadership in a customer-facing role
  • Broad knowledge of the UUK Code of Practice
