Role Description
The Residential Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen, working within a residential care setting to support children, young people, or adults in line with service requirements. Day-to-day tasks include:

The Residential Practitioner is expected to:
- Maintain a safe, respectful environment.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the service.
The position may include shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the needs of residents.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care and support in a residential setting, with a focus on safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
- Experience in recording and reporting information clearly and accurately, including maintaining care records and adhering to confidentiality requirements.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently using sound judgment and initiative.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and relevant social care regulations or willingness to learn and apply these in practice.
- Relevant social care qualification (e.g., SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare or equivalent) or commitment to working towards such a qualification.
- Previous experience in residential care, social care, or a related support role is desirable.
- Basic IT skills to use electronic record-keeping systems and communication tools.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing service needs.
