Residential Property Solicitor
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Working pattern: Full-time / Hybrid
Level: Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer / Experienced Conveyancer
A well-established and forward-thinking law firm is looking to add an experienced residential property professional to its Cardiff team.
This is an opportunity to join a growing conveyancing practice where you'll have the support of an established legal business while still having the opportunity to influence how the team works and develops.
The firm is committed to combining high-quality legal advice with efficient, modern ways of working and a strong client experience.
The role would suit a Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancer looking for a progressive environment with genuine scope for development.
The Role
You will manage your own varied residential property caseload, providing a high-quality service to clients from initial instruction through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing residential sales and purchases.
- Handling remortgages and transfers of equity.
- Advising clients throughout the conveyancing process.
- Reviewing and reporting on title.
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professional contacts.
- Managing transactions efficiently and proactively.
- Keeping clients informed throughout the process.
- Identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ensuring files are managed in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Contributing to the wider team's development and continuous improvement.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with a strong focus on client service.
You will ideally have:
- Experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or equivalent experience.
- Good technical knowledge of residential property transactions.
- Strong organizational and file-management skills.
- Excellent communication and client care.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- A commercially aware and pragmatic approach.
- Confidence dealing with clients and professional referrers.
- Good IT and case management system skills.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider team.
We're particularly interested in people who are curious about how residential conveyancing can be delivered more efficiently and who are open to using technology and modern processes to improve the client journey.
