Opportunity for Residential Property Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer

If you’re a Residential Property Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer who enjoys managing your own caseload but still wants to be part of a genuinely supportive team, this is an opportunity to handle varied residential property work, build strong client relationships and continue developing your career.

You’ll take matters from instruction right through to completion, giving clients clear, practical advice and making sure they feel informed throughout what can be one of the biggest transactions they’ll make.

The Package:

  • £42,000–£55,000 salary, depending on experience

The Company & Role:

Harte Recruitment is working with an established Yorkshire law firm looking for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer to join its residential property team.

You’ll manage a varied caseload covering sales, purchases and remortgages, taking responsibility for your matters from initial instruction through to completion.

Alongside managing your own workload, you’ll build relationships with clients, agents and lenders, support the wider team and provide supervision to junior colleagues where required.

The Person:

  • 2+ years' PQE within Residential Conveyancing
  • SQE or CILEX qualified
  • Strong understanding of professional integrity and client care
  • Confident managing residential property matters independently
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Able to provide clear, practical advice to clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable building relationships with clients and professional contacts
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using case-management systems

The Residential Property Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer Role:

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential sales, purchases and remortgages
  • Take matters from instruction through to completion
  • Draft and review contracts, titles and leasehold documentation
  • Conduct searches and advise clients on the findings
  • Provide clear, practical advice throughout each transaction
  • Liaise with clients, agents and lenders
  • Build strong relationships with clients and referrers
  • Maintain high standards of client care and communication
  • Support the wider residential property team
  • Supervise junior colleagues where required
  • Deliver an efficient, accurate and high-quality service
