Head of Conveyancing Solicitor - Birmingham - 10+ PQE + Lucrative Package + Hybrid
A growing, multi-office law firm is looking to appoint an experienced solicitor as their Head of Conveyancing for their Birmingham office to lead and develop its national residential property function.
This is a standout opportunity for a Head of Conveyancing Solicitor in Birmingham to take ownership of an established team of 30+ conveyancers within a modern, ambitious firm operating across the UK.
As the Head of Conveyancing Solicitor for the Birmingham office, you’ll focus purely on leadership, compliance and business development – with no personal caseload – offering a genuinely strategic role with significant influence and earning potential.
The Role
- Leading and managing a national conveyancing team of 30+ fee earners
- Overseeing compliance, risk and regulatory standards across the department
- Driving business development and strategic growth initiatives
- Supporting and mentoring team leaders and senior conveyancers
- Implementing best practice and improving operational efficiency
- Working closely with directors on firm-wide strategy
- Travelling to London and Bristol offices as required
- Maintaining high standards of client service and delivery

The Candidate
- 10+ PQE Solicitor with strong residential conveyancing experience
- Proven leadership or head of department experience
- Strong technical understanding across all areas of conveyancing
- Excellent knowledge of the London property market
- Demonstrable business development capability
- Commercially minded with a strategic approach
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A client following is advantageous but not essential
