Head of New Build | Birmingham | Legal 500 | up to £120,000 | Hybrid-working + Bonuses

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint a Head of New Build Solicitor in Birmingham to lead and develop its residential property offering.

This is a standout opportunity for a Head of New Build Solicitor or Senior Associate looking to take the step up in Birmingham or the West Midlands, to take full ownership of a growing department within a flexible, supportive and forward-thinking firm.

As the Head of New Build in the Birmingham office, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the team, drive strategic growth and build strong relationships with developers in a role that offers genuine influence and long-term progression.

The Role

  • Leading and developing the firm’s New Build department
  • Managing a caseload of new build residential conveyancing matters
  • Acting for developers on plot sales and related transactions
  • Overseeing compliance and maintaining high technical standards
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Driving business development and building developer relationships
  • Contributing to strategic planning and departmental growth
  • Ensuring high levels of client care and service delivery

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor with strong residential conveyancing experience
  • Proven experience in new build property work
  • Track record of team leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Strong technical ability including title checks and raising enquiries
  • Experience in business development and growing client relationships
  • Commercially aware with a strategic mindset
  • Collaborative and aligned with a values-driven culture
  • Ambitious and motivated by long-term career progression
