Role Description
This is a full-time, Residential Property Solicitor role based in Haywards Heath, to include hybrid working. The solicitor will manage a caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and related conveyancing work. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on legal issues
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and other documentation
- Conducting due diligence and title investigations
- Liaising with lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors
The role involves progressing files efficiently from instruction to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm standards, and maintaining clear, timely communication with clients. The solicitor will contribute to the firm’s reputation for a personal, modern approach and may support wider property or private client work as needed.

Qualifications
- 5+ PQE as a Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in Conveyancing and Residential Property law, including handling a varied caseload independently.
- Familiarity with Commercial Real Estate and Property-related matters to support broader departmental work when required.
- Excellent client care, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear terms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with a focus on cost- and time-efficient case progression.
- Comfort with modern legal practice management and document systems, and a proactive, collaborative working style.
