Residential Property Lawyer – Manchester – 2+ PQE – Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working
A well-established North West law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Property Lawyer. This respected, full-service practice has over 50 years of legal expertise, a CQS-accredited conveyancing team and modern offices in Manchester city centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Residential Property Lawyer in Manchester to take on a varied, high-quality caseload with real autonomy, supported directly by an experienced Partner.
Offering hybrid working, genuine flexibility and excellent exposure to complex and rewarding work, this role is ideal for a Residential Property Lawyer seeking quality files, independence and clear opportunities for progression and professional development.
The Role
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Acting on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, including Building Safety Act matters
- Handling auction sales, bridging finance, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build transactions
- Advising private clients, property investors and lenders
- Liaising with clients, agents, brokers and other solicitors to keep transactions moving
- Ensuring full compliance with regulatory and risk requirements
- Providing clear, practical and commercial advice
- Contributing to the development of the team, including mentoring and supporting junior colleagues

The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor, CILEx or Licensed Conveyancer with approximately 2+ years' PQE or equivalent experience
- Proven experience running a full residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge across sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build
- Leasehold and Building Safety Act experience would be advantageous
- Confident managing files efficiently and to deadline under time pressure
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Experience with case management systems and mentoring junior staff is desirable
- Team player keen to develop and progress within a supportive firm
