Exciting Opportunity: Residential Care Practitioner
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new residential and outreach service; Together, We Can, in York for children and young people.
About the Role
The successful applicant will fulfil the role of a Residential Care Practitioner in the home but will have specific responsibilities and take the lead in working with young people and supporting the wider team in the area of substance misuse.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team based in the home, comprising of a Clinical Psychologist, Police Liaison Officer, and Residential Practitioners.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from different external agencies to develop an understanding of local challenges, identify themes, trends, and intelligence that will assist the team in developing an informed approach.
- Engage with the public, demonstrating competency to converse and provide advice and guidance in spoken English to CEFR level C1.

Working Conditions
- The post will be based at Wenlock Terrace and involves shift work, including evenings and weekends on a rota.
- This role is suitable as a job share opportunity.
