Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Company & Role:

Harte Recruitment is working with an established residential estate agency in Penrith to appoint a Sales Negotiator as the branch moves towards a more proactive, commercially focused way of working.

This isn't a role where you’ll sit behind a desk and hand viewings over to somebody else. You’ll manage the sales journey from applicant and vendor relationships through to your own viewings, negotiations and sales progression, while proactively creating new opportunities from the existing database.

Estate agency experience is welcomed, but drive, attitude, determination and commercial awareness are just as important.

The Person:

  • Previous estate agency/Sales Negotiator experience desirable, but not essential
  • Strong sales ability with a proactive, commercially minded approach
  • Confident qualifying and engaging applicants
  • Comfortable conducting your own property viewings
  • Motivated by individual commission, targets and KPIs
  • Determined, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership
  • Ideally able to use your own car for viewings, although alternatives may be considered for a strong candidate
