This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 23 days at 23:59 BST.
The Vacancy
As a Residential Scheme Manager (live-in), you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-run community for residents at Marlborough Court. You’ll support residents to live independently, build positive relationships and help ensure the scheme remains a place that residents are proud to call home.
Marlborough Court is a retirement independent living scheme made up of 48 flats and 9 bungalows. Your role will be to work closely with residents, colleagues and the established Resident Association to encourage community involvement and provide a responsive service.
The role includes an on-site living element, with a 2-bedroom bungalow provided for you to live in. This is in the grounds of Marlborough Court, however separate to the flats and other bungalows. There is a separate office space for your work within the main communal building. You’ll be required to live on site from Monday to Friday. You’ll have the flexibility to leave at weekends or stay on site if you prefer. Residents will be aware of your working hours, and you will not be contacted outside of these times unless there is an emergency.

Salary: £27,972 per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:45pm

Snapshot of your role
- Manage the day-to-day running of the scheme, ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents and support their wellbeing and independence.
- Respond to resident queries, housing matters and emergencies in a calm and professional way.
- Work with colleagues, contractors and residents to resolve maintenance and service issues.
- Facilitate community activities and support a strong sense of belonging.
- Work independently while having support from the wider Amplius team.
What You’ll Need To Thrive In This Role
- Experience in a customer-focused role with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with a range of situations.
- A caring, reliable and professional approach to supporting residents.
- Basic digital skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office.
- The ability to handle challenges, resolve conflict and remain impartial.
Important: DBS clearance, full UK drivers’ licence, access to your own vehicle, and right to work in the UK are essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
