🌟 Residential Senior Support Worker – Lead with Compassion

Location: Sutton In Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Salary: Starting Rate (Ā£32,743.00), 12 months in position (Ā£33,726.00), 24 months in position (Ā£34,737.00)

Pay Explained: We offer a competitive salary with clear opportunities for progression and increased earnings. As a Band 1 Senior Youth Support Worker, you will receive a starting salary of £32,743 per annum (£15.74 per hour), with the opportunity to earn an additional £5,200 per year through sleep-ins based on two sleep-ins per week, plus a £100 bonus, giving a total earning potential of £37,943 per annum.

  • After 12 months in post, you can progress to Band 2, increasing your salary to Ā£33,726 per annum (Ā£16.21 per hour) and your total earning potential to Ā£38,926 per annum, including sleep-in payments and bonus.
  • After 24 months in post, you can progress to Band 3, earning Ā£34,737 per annum (Ā£16.70 per hour), with a total earning potential of Ā£39,937 per annum, including sleep-in payments and bonus.

This structured pay scale recognises both experience and ongoing professional development, ensuring your earnings increase as you progress in your role and continue to build your expertise as a Senior Youth Support Worker.

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, long days, and sleep-ins

Lantern House is a warm and welcoming two-bedded residential home in Skegby, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Nestled between the peaceful surroundings of Skegby and the vibrant main street of Sutton, our home offers the best of both worlds. With easy access to the A38 and M1, and close to the Designer Village, there are plenty of opportunities for days out and local activities.

At present, Lantern House is home to two young people, each with their own unique personality. One enjoys gaming and quiet time, while the other loves being out and about, keeping busy with new experiences.

Our home provides a nurturing environment where childhood experiences are celebrated, futures are supported, and strong, positive relationships are built.

  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting
  • A QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • A desire to grow—opportunities to complete a fully funded Level 5 qualification available
