About The Little Green Energy Company
The Little Green Energy Company (TLGEC) are the premier consultancy, design and installation team in the Kent & Southeast region in the solar panel renewable energy industry; working in both the commercial and residential sectors.
We have been providing high-quality services since 2010, striving to deliver the best service, constantly growing and developing our business model and market share to go in line with the changing world.
In 2024, we became part of Hometree Group, a leading UK residential home energy services company, paving the way for a brighter future in the home. By joining Hometree’s mission to help millions of homeowners look after their homes and transition to lower-carbon living, in addition to installation we now also provide comprehensive servicing, financing and maintenance to make it easier to look after your home and ensure a greener future.
Join us during this exciting time, and play a pivotal role in a business that supports sustainable homeownership.
The Role
You'll guide homeowners through their solar journey from first conversation to switched-on system. That means running site surveys, designing solar PV (photovoltaic) and battery storage systems that fit each home, building proposals that show the real savings, and staying in touch long after installation. This is consultative sales. You're helping people make one of the biggest decisions for their home.
Responsibilities:
- Engage homeowners: Talk to prospective customers about solar and guide them from first enquiry through to installation.
- Survey and design: Visit homes to assess energy needs and design solar PV and battery storage systems that maximise savings.
- Build the proposal: Put together clear, tailored quotes using solar design and financial modelling tools, so customers can see their real return on investment.
- Own the sales cycle: Manage everything from lead follow-up to negotiation to close, and hand over smoothly to our installation team.
- Support after the sale: Stay in touch with your customers and keep them happy long after the panels go up, because referrals matter.
- Hit your targets: Manage your own pipeline in our CRM and consistently meet or beat your sales goals.
- Know your market: Keep on top of local competitors, pricing, and the latest solar and battery technology so you can advise with confidence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
