Residential Solicitor
Location: Harrogate

Are you an experienced Residential Solicitor looking for an opportunity to take ownership of your caseload, mentor colleagues, and play a key role in the growth of a thriving Residential Property team?
We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Residential Solicitor to join our client's successful and expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service, developing others, and contributing to the continued success of a forward-thinking legal practice.
The Opportunity
As a Residential Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters while making a significant contribution to the department's performance and growth. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will support and develop junior team members, helping to maintain high standards across the department.
This role offers the chance to become actively involved in business development, client relationship management, and strategic initiatives that support the ongoing success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
- Handle residential sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgages.
- Ensure all matters are progressed efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards.
- Deliver outstanding levels of client care and maintain regular communication throughout transactions.
- Achieve agreed financial, billing, and time-recording targets.
- Support credit control activities on your own caseload.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor support staff and junior colleagues.
- Assist with training and development initiatives across the department.
- Contribute to departmental and firm-wide business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, introducers, and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, client service, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all SRA, Law Society, and regulatory requirements.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an ambitious and client-focused Residential Solicitor who enjoys working collaboratively while taking ownership of your work.
You'll possess:
- Admission to the Solicitors Roll.
- Proven experience managing residential conveyancing transactions with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical knowledge across residential sales, purchases, and remortgages.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring, supporting, or supervising colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with effective diary and caseload management.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.
- A positive, resilient, and professional approach.
