Job Description: Residential Support Worker

At Rocester Children's Home, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, yet stimulating environment in which young people of all ages who have previously experienced emotional, social, and academic failure and rejection in order to stabilise their behaviour. We believe that wherever possible, children and young people benefit from living within a family environment, so we try to replicate a caring and supportive setting. The objective of the home is to provide opportunities for each young person to learn and grow and make informed choices about their own future, whilst offering an environment in which they can take time to rebuild and move forward from any bad experiences in their life.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! You will take young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partake in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teach the young people to cook, encourage them to be independent, and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in activities with young people, including social outings and educational opportunities.
  • Participate in community events and support fundraising activities.

Requirements

Due to location, a Full UK driving licence is required.
