We have 8 children's homes ran by Leicester City Council rated as 'Good' and 'Outstanding' by OFSTED, which offer a warm and supportive environment for children and young people to thrive. We’re looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join our teams as Residential Support Workers.
In this role, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people feel valued, supported, and empowered. You’ll use your empathy, resilience, and positive approach to meet their needs, while helping them build confidence and thrive.
You will be part of a compassionate team that values every member. Our residential workers come from various backgrounds, and we are eager to support new team members as they grow in this rewarding role.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting.
- Meeting the physical and emotional needs of the young people.
- Engaging in activities that promote their development and well-being.
- Working collaboratively with team members to create a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans.
- Participating in shift work, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with vulnerable children, young people or adults, either in voluntary, or paid work or other relevant setting.
- A background in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
- An ability to work in different locations

Under the Equality Act 2010, you must be aged 21 and over and upon being offered a post, we will do an enhanced DBS check, qualifications check and reference checks.

Working Hours And Benefits
This role involves working shifts, including:

- Early shifts: 7 am or 8am- 3:00 pm
- Late shifts: 2:00 pm - 10:00 or 11 pm
- Sleep in shifts with an allowance paid to undertake these
- A rota system, working 2 weekends in 3, with a 3-week rolling rota.
We offer generous enhancements for shift work, including additional pay for hours worked as overtime, nights, weekends and bank holidays. This can significantly increase your annual earnings.
