A forward-thinking public sector organisation is seeking a qualified Residential Surveyor to join its established property team. This is an opportunity to work within a diverse property portfolio, supporting key residential valuation and asset management work that has a direct impact on local communities and public services.

Your new role

As a Residential Surveyor, you will lead on a varied caseload of residential valuation and surveying instructions. You will be responsible for delivering statutory valuation work, providing professional property advice, managing stakeholder relationships and supporting wider property and asset management initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking Right to Buy valuations and associated statutory processes.
  • Managing Lease Extension and Collective Enfranchisement cases.
  • Carrying out residential property inspections and condition assessments.
  • Producing valuation reports, property appraisals and feasibility studies.
  • Managing acquisitions, disposals and wider residential asset matters.
  • Liaising with leaseholders, residents, legal teams and external consultants.
  • Supporting property transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing professional advice on residential property legislation and market trends.
  • Producing Land Registry compliant plans and supporting property boundary matters.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • MRICS qualification and Registered Valuer status.
  • Strong experience undertaking residential statutory valuation work.
  • Knowledge of Right to Buy, Leasehold Extensions and residential property legislation.
  • Experience inspecting and valuing residential assets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse market evidence and prepare professional reports.
  • Experience working within a public sector environment, or a strong understanding of local authority property functions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
