Job Role: Residential Surveyor
Location: Croydon / Surrey
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Arnold & Baldwin is an independent, progressive firm of Chartered Surveyors, providing a range of property-related services. The company was established in 2007 and has already become known as one of the leading surveying firms in London and the South East.
Due to continued business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Building Surveyor to join our innovative firm of Chartered Surveyors. Main Responsibilities
- Carrying out residential secured lending valuations, homebuyer reports, and building surveys.
- Servicing our largest and longest-standing clients, which include some of the world's most established banks and building societies.
- Surveying and valuing a wide spectrum of residential properties throughout London and the South East.
- Using iPad technology to make the best use of time.
- Improving efficiency by encouraging the submission of ideas.
- Working closely with a range of clients and having close contact with lenders and Private Clients.

Experience
- Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience of carrying out Level 1, 2, and 3 residential surveys for private clients and/or lending institutions.
- Use of tablet technology for site note-taking and familiarity with Quest software, GoReport, RightMove Surveyor Comparable tool, and Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) reinstatement valuation.
- Mortgage valuations.
- Red Book Valuations for residential property.
- RICS Level 2 Surveys.
- RICS Level 3 Surveys.
- Disrepair Surveys.
Ideally will have experience in:
- Development appraisals.
- Party Wall Awards.
- Project management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- AssocRICS, MRICS, or FRICS qualified applicants with experience in residential valuations.
- Candidates with MBEng, MCIAT, MCIOB, or MICWI qualifications may qualify for our AssocRICS qualification route.
- Experience of carrying out mortgage valuations, homebuyer reports, and building surveys.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- IT literacy.
- Ability to manage varying workloads to tight deadlines.
