Residential Surveyor and Registered Valuer
Greater Manchester | Home-based | Altrincham office available
JRV Surveys & Valuations is an independent, RICS-regulated practice specialising in residential home surveys and valuations across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced AssocRICS or MRICS residential surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer to join our team.
This is a home-based role offering genuine flexibility, autonomy and sensible inspection scheduling. It would suit a surveyor who takes pride in producing thorough, well-written reports and wants to work without unrealistic volume targets or unnecessary corporate pressure.
The role
You will carry out:
- RICS Level 2 Home Surveys
- RICS Level 3 Home Surveys
- Residential Valuations
You will manage your own inspection diary and complete your report writing and administration from home. Most inspections will be across Greater Manchester, with some work in surrounding areas.

What we are looking for
- AssocRICS or MRICS qualification
- RICS Registered Valuer status
- At least one year of post-qualification experience carrying out residential surveys and valuations
- Strong report writing and practical communication skills
- Confidence using modern surveying software and IT systems
- Ability to manage your workload independently while maintaining consistently high standards
- Full UK driving licence
