The Opportunity

I am delighted to be partnering with one of the United Kingdom's most distinguished and established property consultancies, as they look to make several senior appointments within their highly regarded London Residential Valuation division.

With opportunities spanning Associate Director through to Senior Director, these appointments offer accomplished Chartered Surveyors the opportunity to work at the upper end of the residential property market, advising on some of London's most significant private residences, high-value residential investments, historic properties and development opportunities.

Operating across Prime and Super-Prime Central London, Greater London and the Home Counties, the team provides independent valuation advice across an exceptionally varied portfolio of residential assets, often involving complex ownership arrangements, unusual tenure structures and substantial capital values.

These are appointments for individuals who value technical excellence, professional independence and the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with a sophisticated client base.

For more senior individuals, there is considerable scope to influence the future direction of the valuation practice, develop new client relationships and play a leading role in the continued growth of an already established and highly respected business.

About the Business

With a heritage spanning more than 140 years, my client is one of Britain's most respected names in property, having built an enviable reputation for the quality of its advice, the calibre of its people and the enduring relationships it maintains with its clients.

Established in the nineteenth century, the business has evolved into a prominent national property consultancy, combining the traditions and personal service of a heritage practice with the resources, professional capabilities and market intelligence of a major property advisory organisation.

Its expertise encompasses Prime Residential Property, Country Houses, Historic Estates, Rural Land Management, Development, Investment and Professional Valuation Services.

The firm advises an established and discerning client base that includes private individuals, high-net-worth families, landed estates, trustees, institutional investors, developers, lenders and corporate organisations.

Its work extends from some of the capital's most desirable residential addresses to substantial country houses, historic buildings, residential investment portfolios and complex development assets throughout the United Kingdom.

The valuation practice is supported by an extensive national network of RICS Registered Valuers, alongside established agency, residential development, planning and rural property specialists.

This breadth of expertise provides a particularly attractive professional environment, where complex valuations are informed by specialist market knowledge, transactional evidence and an exceptionally broad understanding of UK property.

Despite its national standing, the business retains a culture centred on individual expertise, considered professional advice and long-term client relationships.

The Position

Joining the London Residential Valuation team, which forms part of the firm's wider Rural and Professional Services business, you will undertake a sophisticated range of valuation instructions across Prime Central London, Greater London and the surrounding Home Counties.

The work encompasses a broad spectrum of residential property, including substantial period townhouses, luxury apartments, listed and architecturally significant residences, high-value residential investments, development sites and properties involving complex legal or occupational arrangements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
