Role Description
The Residential Worker is a full-time, hybrid role based in Liverpool, with some flexibility for working from home depending on service needs. The role involves providing day-to-day support, care, and guidance to individuals living in residential settings, helping them develop life skills, maintain routines, and access community resources.

- Maintaining accurate records and reports
The Residential Worker will collaborate with colleagues, external agencies, and families to safeguard residents, promote independence, and ensure a safe, respectful living environment. The role also includes contributing to household tasks, participating in team meetings, and adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide person-centered care and support, including promoting independence, safeguarding, and emotional wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, de-escalate challenging situations, and work with diverse communities.
- Organizational skills for maintaining records, following care plans, managing time effectively, and working to agreed procedures.
- Teamworking skills, including collaboration with colleagues, professionals, and families, and contributing positively to a supportive work environment.
- Basic IT skills for recording information, reporting incidents, and using digital tools required by the Council.
- Relevant experience in residential care, social care, or support work is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices, health and safety, and relevant legislation or guidance in social care settings.
- Vocational qualification in social care, youth work, or a related field (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the service.
