Our client is a leading transatlantic law firm working with businesses, people and markets driving capital and innovation.

Position summary

The Resource Allocation Manager will lead the day-to-day allocation of lawyers across the Corporate practice, ensuring client demand is met, utilisation remains strong and lawyers have access to appropriate work and development opportunities.

Working closely with Partners, Talent, Finance and Business Development, the role will involve anticipating capacity requirements, resolving resourcing challenges and using data to support commercial and staffing decisions.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing lawyer allocation across the Corporate practice
  • Working with Partners and senior stakeholders to identify current and future resourcing requirements
  • Monitoring utilisation, pipeline and forecast data and providing recommendations
  • Identifying capacity gaps and resolving resourcing challenges
  • Developing and improving resource management processes and systems
  • Providing reporting and insight to support business performance

Experience, Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is essential
  • Experience in resource management, workforce planning or operational management is highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills
  • Highly organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
