Location: Melksham
Pay: £89.03 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:15pm (6 hours 15 minutes), term time only
Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference to children with additional needs?
We're recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school resource base in Melksham, supporting primary school children with SEND. This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally within a specialist setting.
The Role
- Support primary children with a range of additional complex needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support.
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage children's independence, confidence and social development.
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times.
- Be able to use your initiative to respond to children's needs.

We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school, nursery or SEND setting.
- A calm, patient and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- We welcome applicants with transferable experience from care, youth work or similar roles (experience is not essential).
