We’re looking for a talented Resource Manager who thrives in a people-focused environment and sees challenges as opportunities for growth. At MHA, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals who care about making a difference. Your role in our Central Region will be far more than policies and procedures; it’s about creating an inspiring workplace culture, fostering individual growth, and implementing strategic initiatives that drive meaningful, lasting impact across our team.
- Deliver the regional resource management strategy across audit, ensuring activity is aligned to firmwide priorities and commercial goals.
- Lead annual and rolling capacity planning, including busy season, peak-period demand, skills mix, and role-level forecasting.
- Use utilisation, availability, chargeable hours, and performance data to provide actionable advice and commercial recommendations.
- Partner with Audit Partners, managers, practice leaders, and People colleagues to anticipate demand, address risk, and support delivery quality.
- Resolve complex resourcing conflicts, capacity constraints, and competing stakeholder priorities in a calm, methodical, and solution-focused way.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Resource Advisors and Coordinators, creating clear roles, goals, and accountability for team delivery.
- Drive improvements to resourcing workflows, scheduling processes, systems, and reporting to increase efficiency and value.
- Ensure accurate, timely data is maintained in Dayshape and associated reporting tools to support informed decision-making.
- Promote a positive, resilient, and inclusive team culture, modelling firm values, and supporting others through change.

What We’re Looking For
- Highly confident, skilled verbal and written communicator with great attention to detail.
- Experience in resource management, workforce planning, or professional services operations, with proven responsibility for team delivery.
- Strong knowledge of resource management tools, techniques, and best practice, including confident use of RM systems and reporting outputs.
- Ability to analyse large data sets, identify trends, and convert insight into practical, commercial advice.
- Ability to interact effectively with empathy, impact, and discretion, cultivating trusted advisor working relationships with Business Unit leadership, key stakeholders, practitioners, team members, and the wider resource management function.
- Commercial mindset.
- Ability to plan and prioritise, multitask, and manage a significant workload under pressure.
- Strong relationship management experience: ability to interact, influence, and negotiate with people at all levels.
- Strong organisation and time management skills with excellent administration skills.
- A proactive attitude towards change and ongoing focus on improvement.
- Ability to influence strategic resourcing, training, and recruitment decisions through presentation of information that is timely and informative.
