Resource Manager – Hampshire – Hybrid – Contract 37.5 hours per week – Up to £370pd – SC Clearance or Willing to undergo

Our client is looking for an experienced Resource Manager to join their central Resource and Operations Team. You'll be placing the right people on the right projects at the right time within a fast-paced, technology-focused organisation. This is a 6-month contract inside IR35, so if you've got a background in operational resourcing within a technical or professional services environment, get in touch now.
Working Patterns and location
- Hybrid – 2 days on site per week
The Key Responsibilities of a Resource Manager:
- Partner with key stakeholders to capture project demand and identify available resource across the business.
- Allocate people onto project delivery and short-turnaround bid opportunities, balancing competing priorities.
- Collaborate with fellow Resource Managers and Line Managers to balance development needs with project demands.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders across business units and corporate services.
- Resolve resourcing conflicts and problem-solve at pace in a fast-changing environment.
- Manage your workload with a high degree of organisation, prioritisation and time management.
- Maintain accurate resourcing data and contribute to reporting and dashboard outputs.

Key Skills required for a Resource Manager:
- Practical experience of resource management in a professional services or technical matrix organisation.
- Tactical resourcing experience, allocating people to projects and bids at pace.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing at senior levels.
- Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving ability in a pressured environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with good judgement across individual and business needs.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
Additional skills preferred:
- Experience using smart resource management platforms such as ProFinda or similar tools.
- Previous use of dashboard and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Background in resourcing within a Defence or government-facing technology organisation.
- Existing SC clearance or previous experience working in a cleared environment.

Off-payroll Working Rules
Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
