Resource Manager – Professional Services

Salary: £35,000–£40,000

Location: Flexible UK location, with occasional travel to London
Potential locations: Manchester, Birmingham, Reading or Home Counties

We are supporting a leading technology and professional services organisation with the appointment of a Resource Manager to join its growing resource management function.

This is not a line-management role. You will take ownership of the resource fulfilment process, helping ensure that project and customer demand is matched with the right people, skills and delivery model.

Working closely with senior resourcing, practice and delivery stakeholders, you will identify the most appropriate way to fulfil requirements using internal UK teams, nearshore and offshore capability, contractors or external delivery partners.

What you will be doing

  • Managing resource requests from initial requirement through to successful fulfilment.
  • Maintaining an accurate, real-time view of internal skills, certifications, experience and availability.
  • Matching available resources to projects while balancing capability, development opportunities, customer needs and commercial considerations.
  • Identifying the most appropriate fulfilment route across onshore, nearshore, offshore, contractor and partner resources.
  • Monitoring utilisation, bench availability, resource shortages and future capacity risks.
  • Translating project requirements into clear briefs for external partners and contingent talent suppliers.
  • Reviewing CVs, shortlisting suitable professionals and coordinating interviews with internal stakeholders.
  • Managing competing resource priorities and escalating constraints when required.
  • Building trusted relationships with practice leads, project teams, delivery stakeholders and international resourcing teams.
  • Providing accurate resource data, forecasting information and management insight.
  • Supporting improvements to resource management processes, reporting and service delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
