Description
Working in the Lightning Protection Contracts office, the role reports to the Lightning Protection Technical Director and works alongside the Lightning Protection Contracts Manager.
The primary aim of the role is to plan, coordinate, arrange and deliver the test, inspection, repair, and new installation of lightning protection contracts to Horizon’s clients throughout the UK to required timescales, budgets and meet KPIs.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Planning & Contracts Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

Working closely with the Lightning Protection Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating works across the UK, ensuring engineers are scheduled efficiently, clients are kept informed, and all operational and compliance requirements are in place before works commence.
This position would suit someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and juggling multiple priorities in a busy operational environment.
What You Will Bring
- Good communication skills are essential for this role for dealing with clients, colleagues and 3rd parties such as sub-contractors and suppliers involved in a contract.
- Ideally, candidates will have undertaken a similar role within the lightning protection industry or previously held a resource planning role.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and juggle workload as a number of tasks may have equal priority.
- Good IT skills, Horizon currently operates a paper-based system but plans to transition to a digital platform in the near future.
- Good analytical skill, and a willingness to solve problems.
