Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your Top Five Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of exceptional workplace experiences: Own the day-to-day office experience, ensuring a welcoming, productive and engaging environment for team members, clients and visitors. Proactively identify opportunities to improve how our team interact with, and experience the workplace.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality events from concept to completion: Manage the full event lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, supplier co-ordination, logistics, communications, execution and post-event evaluation. Deliver events that support business goals, strengthen relationships and bring Laminar culture to life.
  • Manage office operations and facilities effectively: Oversee workplace services, suppliers, maintenance, equipment, health and safety requirements and office processes to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
  • Build strong relationships with team members, clients and visitors: Act as a trusted point of contact for colleagues, leadership, vendors, clients and other partners ensuring effective communication, collaboration and consistent high service standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence: Review existing processes, identify opportunity for improvement and introduce solutions that enhance efficiency, team experience and the overall effectiveness of the Laminar team.

Your Capabilities

You will combine sharp operational delivery with the instinct to create workplace and event experiences people actually remember. You will move fluidly between the strategic (how the workplace should feel and function) and the hands-on (making sure the catering arrives and the room is set), and you will take genuine ownership from first idea to final execution without needing to be chased. You hold your own with senior stakeholders, visitors and suppliers alike, and you build the trusted relationships that let good things happen quietly.

You must have:

  • Mastery: Strong experience in event coordination, office management, workplace operations or a related role, with a track record of running events end-to-end: planning, logistics, suppliers, budgets and delivery, not just one slice of it. You can juggle multiple priorities, projects and deadlines without dropping the detail that makes an experience feel considered. You manage suppliers, contractors and operational processes with a firm hand, and when something isn't working you diagnose the real issue and improve the way of working rather than patching it and moving on. You care about high-quality outcomes and it shows in the things people don't consciously notice.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, confident enough to engage clients, visitors and colleagues at every level and to manage their expectations honestly, especially when priorities shift and the day gets busy. You bring strong stakeholder management: you influence, collaborate and build positive relationships rather than simply processing requests, and you carry a service-focused mindset that turns a routine interaction into a good experience.
  • Leadership: A self-starter who takes ownership and accountability and delivers without supervision. You prioritise well, take initiative before being asked, and stay calm and solution-focused when things go wrong under pressure. You can coordinate and influence others (suppliers, contractors, colleagues) to land a successful outcome, even without direct authority over them.
  • Impact: A genuine passion for creating exceptional workplaces and environments where people thrive, and the ability to deliver events and initiatives that create real engagement and connection rather than box-ticking. You keep a consistent focus on quality and efficiency, and you can read a business need and translate it into a practical operational solution.

Nice to have (if you don't have it now, you will after joining):

  • Mastery: Experience with client-facing or large-scale events, ideally in professional services or a fast-paced environment; familiarity with workplace management systems, health and safety or compliance basics, and comfort managing budgets and reporting on spend.
  • Communication: Experience supporting internal comms or engagement initiatives, working with senior and executive stakeholders, and representing Laminar with external partners and suppliers.
  • Leadership: Experience leading initiatives and coordinating teams or contractors, with a habit of challenging existing processes and driving improvements.
  • Impact: A record of developing workplace initiatives that strengthen culture and engagement, improving processes, and a real interest in shaping the future of the Laminar workplace.

Laminar isn’t the place for you if any of the following is true:

  • You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge
  • You like to be the smartest person in the room
  • You don’t like continuously receiving honest candid feedback
  • You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team

Benefits

The standard stuff:

  • Health Insurance Scheme. Comprehensive private health coverage - for you and your family. Because your well-being is our priority
  • Pension Scheme. A competitive plan to help you plan for the long term - plus salary sacrifice options available to maximize your savings
  • Bonus Scheme. As a permanent member of the team, you’ll share in our success. Our annual bonus is designed to reward both the now and the future - with a flexible mix of cash and high-growth equity that you choose. Bonuses are discretionary and based on performance
  • Professional body membership. One fee covered per year - so you can stay connected to your field and develop your craft
  • Cycle to Work Scheme. A tax-efficient way to get wheels - and do your bit for the environment

The Life-Changing Stuff

  • In-house coaching: Regular 1:1 coaching sessions, fully confidential, to help you navigate challenges, build self-awareness, and grow intentionally - professionally and as a human being
  • Flexibility: Getting things done is what really matters, not what time of day you do it. That means you don’t have to ask permission for things like picking up your kids or going to the doctor, just keep your team in the loop if you think they will be affected.
  • Grow your whole self: Our leaders are more like coaches and one of our main objectives is to give 5 years’ worth of learning and development for every 1 year with us. You have a coach, mentor, well-being therapist and a development-orientated environment: That’s literally what our vision is all about and the primary reason Laminar exists.
  • Be surrounded by the best: We only hire and retain the very best people. You might be used to being the smartest in the room but that won’t be the case in Laminar. You will be surrounded by people you can learn from. We are 100%
