What you'll be doing?

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

Reporting to the Group Resourcing Manager, you will partner with Hiring Managers, Senior HRBP’s and Business Leaders to understand current and future workforce requirements, developing recruitment strategies that attract, engage and secure high quality talent.

You will:

  • Responsible for delivering recruitment across designated business areas and/or regions, ensuring current and future talent requirements are met through effective workforce planning, attraction and hiring strategies.
  • Develop credible and trusted relationships with hiring managers and business leaders, acting as a strategic recruitment advisor who provides expert recruitment guidance, market insight and workforce solutions that support business objectives.
  • Develop and implement resourcing plans that meet both current and future organisational needs, attracting talent and fulfilling critical resource requirements.
  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment activity, ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Utilise proactive sourcing techniques, social media, networking and talent mapping approaches to identify, engage and attract high-quality talent.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles, reducing future hiring risk and supporting workforce planning initiatives.
  • Coach and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring adherence to recruitment best practice, company policy and employment legislation.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and prioritisation of recruitment activity for the Resourcer, ensuring resources are focused effectively to support hiring demands and deliver a high-quality recruitment service.
  • Provide external labour market insight and recruitment intelligence to inform hiring decisions and support workforce planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment processes, continually reviewing and improving recruitment methods, candidate attraction approaches and recruitment materials.
  • Work collaboratively with HR Shared Services and hiring managers to ensure recruitment activity is completed in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
  • Take accountability for delivering agreed recruitment KPIs and service standards, whilst continually seeking opportunities to improve hiring outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction and candidate experience.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external recruitment partners, job boards and attraction suppliers, ensuring they support the delivery of recruitment objectives and provide a high-quality service.
  • Actively support employer branding and attraction initiatives, promoting the organisation as an employer of choice.
  • Continually review and optimise the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring workflows, templates, reporting and processes remain effective and aligned to business requirements.
  • Contribute to recruitment projects and initiatives that improve recruitment effectiveness, candidate experience and stakeholder engagement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
