Resourcing & Talent Acquisition Administrator – 6 Month Contract (Part-Time)

Location: Catford, London

Rate: £24.87 per hour (Umbrella)

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days remote, 1 day office-based (Tuesdays)

Contract: Temporary (6 Months, Part-Time)

Pay: Bi-weekly

Summary

This role involves providing administrative coordination and support to the Council's Resourcing and Talent Acquisition function on a 6-month part-time contract basis. The position is crucial in managing the full recruitment lifecycle for both permanent and agency roles. The successful candidate will collaborate with Resourcing and Talent Acquisition Advisers to ensure efficient recruitment campaigns, deliver an excellent candidate experience, and provide high-quality support to hiring managers. The role also involves monitoring recruitment activities, maintaining systems, and implementing initiatives to enhance attraction, diversity, and talent acquisition outcomes.

Responsibilities

Recruitment Administration

  • Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist in delivering permanent and agency recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure timely communication with hiring managers, candidates, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain recruitment activity trackers and meet deadlines.

Candidate Management

  • Support candidate engagement during recruitment and onboarding.
  • Update candidates on application, interview, and offer processes.
  • Assist with screening and shortlisting activities.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service throughout the candidate journey.

Recruitment Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with advisers to support recruitment campaigns.
  • Liaise with advertising providers and partners for recruitment needs.
  • Assist with social media recruitment campaigns.
  • Support recruitment attraction strategies and initiatives.

Interview & Assessment Coordination

  • Schedule interviews and recruitment panels.
  • Organise interview documentation and assessment materials.
  • Support recruitment assessment centres and selection activities.
  • Ensure secure management of recruitment documentation.

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain and update recruitment tracking and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Run recruitment reports and provide management information.
  • Support system upgrades and improvements.
  • Ensure accuracy and currency of recruitment records.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Gather and collate recruitment data and performance metrics.
  • Produce reports on recruitment activity and service performance.
  • Monitor redeployment activity and report issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis.

Training & Events Support

  • Provide administrative support for recruitment training sessions, induction programs, job fairs, and diversity initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics and administration for recruitment activities.

Communications & Customer Service

  • Respond to recruitment-related enquiries.
  • Liaise with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
  • Provide professional, responsive, and customer-focused support.
  • Escalate complex enquiries as needed.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment processes.
  • Promote fair and inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Contribute to the Council's equality and diversity objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education, including English and Mathematics.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards membership is desirable.
  • Business Administration, HR, or Recruitment qualification is advantageous.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and customer service principles.
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Knowledge of local authority recruitment processes is desirable.

Experience

  • Experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment.
  • Experience supporting managers and customers in service delivery.
  • Experience maintaining records, databases, and reporting information.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous HR or Recruitment experience is desirable.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Oracle Recruitment Cloud is advantageous.
