An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly organised individual to join the Integrated Respiratory Team. The postholder will provide high-quality operational, administrative, performance management and project support to ensure the effective delivery of respiratory services across Primary Care and Community Services. Working closely with clinical and managerial colleagues, the role will support the coordination, development and continuous improvement of key respiratory pathways and programmes, including the Home Oxygen Service (HOS), Spirometry Hubs, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, COPD Reviews and respiratory audit activity. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting service delivery, performance management, staff supervision and stakeholder engagement, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-centred care across the respiratory pathway.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide operational, administrative, performance management and project support to the Integrated Respiratory Team, helping to ensure the effective delivery of respiratory services across Primary Care and Community Services. They will coordinate respiratory pathways and support key workstreams including the Home Oxygen Service (HOS), Spirometry Hubs, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, COPD Reviews, respiratory audits and service improvement initiatives. The role will include line management of non-clinical staff, supporting consistent and effective operational processes across the service, as well as contributing to the operational management of the Pan-Gwent Home Oxygen Contract. The postholder will monitor service performance, support quality improvement and governance activities, coordinate meetings and maintain accurate records and reports. Acting as a key point of contact for clinicians, GP practices, patients, carers, suppliers and partner organisations, they will develop and maintain effective working relationships to support safe, efficient and patient-centred care. They will also contribute to risk management, audit, policy development and the implementation of local and national respiratory priorities while ensuring compliance with Health Board policies and information governance requirements.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree level or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience within respiratory services
- Extensive working knowledge of WPAS and booking systems
Desirable criteria
- Prince 2/ILM/NVQ 4 or equivalent Qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive administrative experience, ability to co-ordinate and implement efficient systems and processes
Desirable criteria
- Experience of delivery of projects
Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent working knowledge of office systems
- Excellent communication; Organisation; ability to use own initiative and work autonomously
Desirable criteria
- Good analytical and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
