The salary range for this role is £31,540 to £33,210 per annum based on a 37 hour working week.

We are currently working in partnership with Surrey County Council to deliver on their vision for quality CQC Registered/Regulated Short Breaks for people with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs, through the development of two state of the art, purpose built overnight services in Woking and Banstead.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Short Breaks team at Surrey Choices based at our newest respite centre in Banstead, Surrey. The Deputy Manager’s role is to assist the Registered Manager to oversee the daily running of the 8-bed CQC Registered service, ensuring that the service provided offers those we support a high standard of person-centred care. You will ensure that all individuals using the service are treated with dignity and respect and that their independence, choice, and control is actively promoted.

In addition, duties will include supporting staff recruitment and onboarding, the assessment and onboarding of people who will use the service (including liaison with families and Surrey County Council referring practitioners) and elements of building and equipment set up.
What we would like from you:
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Previous experience of working with adults or children with disabilities
- Good knowledge of CQC’s Regulatory Framework and obligations under the Care Act
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good project management and change management understanding
- Flexible approach to the management requirements of a 24hr service. Shift working required 7am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday.
- Ability to lead by example and develop the team
- A positive attitude towards change and continuous improvement
