POSITION SUMMARY
The Response and Resilience Manager plays a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to strengthen the preparedness, resilience, and response capabilities of the global financial sector. This position partners with member organizations and stakeholders to advance initiatives related to incident response, crisis management, cyber resilience, third-party risk, operational resilience, and sector preparedness.
As part of the global response and resilience team, the manager leads and supports strategic projects that address emerging and evolving risks to the financial sector. The role collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts, coordinates incident and response activities, develops risk and resilience analysis products, and contributes to the design and execution of exercises and preparedness programs that enhance operational readiness and sector resilience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Serve as a key member of the global incident response framework, supporting incident coordination, information sharing, threat monitoring, and resilience activities across the financial sector.
- Monitor and assess regional and global risks, including cyber threats, geopolitical developments, third-party dependencies, supply chain risks, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and post-quantum computing, to identify implications and resilience opportunities for members.
- Facilitate collaboration with members, industry partners, regulators, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote information sharing, preparedness, and adoption of response and resilience initiatives.
- Manage and support FS-ISAC response and resilience leadership committees, including the Business Resilience Committee (BRC) and Resilience Congress, by planning and facilitating meetings, driving initiatives and deliverables, fostering member engagement, and providing relevant resources and guidance to members.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance response and resilience playbooks, procedures, and program documentation to support operational readiness and sector resilience.
- Support the planning, design, development, execution, and evaluation of regional and cross-sector exercises, including exercise scenarios, participant materials, after action reporting, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement activities.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships across the region to strengthen sector-wide preparedness, response capabilities, and resilience outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and leadership to execute strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and member needs.
- Engage regularly with members and organizational leadership to support the execution of response and resilience program objectives and strategic goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in incident response, business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management, risk management, disaster recovery, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting or leading initiatives related to operational resilience, third party risk and resilience, technology resilience, cyber resilience, operational risk, and crisis management.
- Experience developing and implementing incident response plans, playbooks, resilience frameworks, and preparedness activities within complex organizations or sectors.
- Strong knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, cyber resilience, third-party risk, operational risk, technology resilience, and emerging technology risks.
- Experience participating in and supporting industry working groups, committees, or stakeholder forums, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, action tracking, and initiative execution.
- Proven project management and cross-functional leadership experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information, identify trends, assess risks, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders, subject matter experts, members, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to independently manage responsibilities and deliver results.

Preferred
- A bachelor's degree or background focused on operational risk and resilience, risk management, third party risk and resilience, crisis management, business continuity, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial sector operations, regulatory environments, market trends, and global business practices.
- Knowledge and experience in financial sector, implementing the European Union’s Digital Operational Resilience Act, the UK Operational Resilience frameworks and NIST standards for business continuity, testing, third party risk management and cybersecurity controls assessment.
- Project Management (Prince2 or PMP) certification.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., BCI, DRI) and knowledge of the ISO 22301 standard.
- Multilingual proficiency relevant to the EMEA region (e.g., German, French, Spanish) is an advantage for effective cross-cultural communication.
