An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a Responsible Individual

To support the launch and growth of a new specialist solo childrens home based in the Nottingham area. You will be working for a leading company which specialises in child care.

This is one of UK's leading child care organisations; it provides safe, stable, and therapeutic environments for children with complex needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

As The Responsible Individual

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the Registered Manager throughout our registration process and thereafter
  • Promoting a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, well-being, and outcomes
  • Ensuring full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
  • Leading on safeguarding strategy, serious incident oversight, and learning implementation
  • Driving quality assurance, audits, and improvement plans
  • Supporting leadership development and succession planning within the organisation
  • Acting as the bridge between the homes and the Board, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Representing our home positively with external professionals, local authorities, and regional/national forums
  • Contributing to thoughtful, ethical service development and growth initiatives

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Significant children's residential experience
  • Strong Ofsted, safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
  • A track record of Good/Outstanding services
  • Complex/high-risk and solo provision experience
  • Experience opening and registering new homes
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • Strong oversight and governance skills as we grow

Benefits

The successful Responsible Individual will receive an excellent salary of GBP65,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent part-time role working 2 days a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
