Job Description
Our partner care group are dedicated to providing bespoke, client-centered services aimed at caring and supporting vulnerable children and young people. With a focus on delivering targeted accommodation, care and support. They work with over 30 London Boroughs and multiple district councils across England delivering quality care and support to children and young people.
We are seeking a Responsible Individual to join their dedicated Children's Home team at their recently converted EBD Home in Dagenham. This role is essential in overseeing the daily operations of our residential services, ensuring that children and young people receive the highest standard of care and support in a safe environment. You will be instrumental in shaping the establishment and future success of the home. This position offers the chance to significantly influence the organisational growth and to be an integral member of the foundational team.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall quality and compliance of the care home in line with Children's Homes Regulations
- Act as the Registered Individual with Ofsted, ensuring full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Lead and support Registered Managers, promoting best practices and high performance
- Develop service improvement strategies and champion a culture of safeguarding and excellence
- Represent the organisation during Ofsted inspections and liaise with external stakeholders
- Monitor service delivery, ensure quality assurance, and identify opportunities for development
- Support with recruitment, retention, and staff training

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in a children's residential setting is essential.
- At least two years' experience as a Responsible Individual or Registered Manager of Ofsted registered Children's Home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulation, safeguarding, and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Background working with children and young people with complex needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- Good communicator and decision-maker with a focus on quality and compliance
