Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Children's Home Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Children's Home Manager to manage a brand new small children's residential service based in central Birmingham, West Midlands area. You will be working for an exciting brand new care provider.
This is therapy-based children's residential care home seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the home from pre-registration through to full commissioning and beyond.
As The Manager, Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead day-to-day care, supervision, and quality assurance across all 9 Ofsted Quality Standards
- Prepare for and lead interim and full inspections; drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrate lived knowledge of all policies, staffing model, and quality standards
- Address any conditions or minor works identified by Ofsted promptly
- Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR) for all staff and key persons
- Deliver induction and training: safeguarding, trauma-informed care, behaviour support, first aid
- Oversee premises fit-out, fire safety, and room-by-room compliance against the Statement of Purpose
- Procure furniture, equipment, medication storage, and Ofsted-ready IT/records systems

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in children's residential care as a registered manager
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role within children's care services
- Experience opening or re-registering a new home
- Ofsted track record
- Employed in at least one home rated Good or Outstanding at last inspection
- Experience of pre-registration inspection process
- Sound understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for residential childcare or be enrolled with completion within 12 months of appointment

Salary and Benefits
The successful Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP60,000 - GBP65,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
