Millenium Site Services is a specialist rail sector contractor with Paint, GRP, Glass, and Engineering divisions, working with major clients in the industry.

About the Role

We're looking for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to oversee welding quality and compliance across our operations. You'll make sure all welding activity meets the required standards, working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Responsible Welding Coordinator under EN 15085-2 and ISO 3834-2
  • Develop and maintain welding procedures (WPS/WPQR)
  • Keep welder qualifications and certifications up to date
  • Oversee welding inspection, NDT liaison, and non-conformance management
  • Support internal, client, and certification body audits
  • Provide technical guidance and training to welding staff
  • Investigate welding defects and put corrective actions in place
  • Maintain accurate records for traceability and certification

  • Recognised RWC qualification (EN 15085-2 / ISO 14731) or equivalent, e.g. IWE, IWT, IWS
  • Proven experience in welding coordination or quality, ideally in rail or heavy engineering
  • Strong knowledge of EN 15085 and ISO 3834
  • Experience managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification records
  • Confident dealing with auditors, clients, and certification bodies
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
