Restaurant & Bar Supervisor – Strong Bar Skills Needed

Full Time | 5 days out of 7 | Monthly Tronc on top of salary

Love a great restaurant, know your cocktails and enjoy leading a brilliant service? This could be the role for you.

We’re looking for a Restaurant & Bar Supervisor to join the team at Bishopstrow – someone who can confidently lead a restaurant service, jump behind the bar when needed and help us create the kind of experience guests remember.

You might already be a Restaurant Supervisor, Bar Supervisor or experienced Bartender looking for your next step.

What matters most to us is that you’ve got good hands-on bar experience, confidence with cocktails, wines and spirits, and the personality to lead a team.

A little about Bishopstrow

Voted into The Times’ 100 Best Places to Stay, Bishopstrow is a whimsical country house hotel surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

We’ve got gorgeous bedrooms, a buzzing restaurant and bar, beautiful terraces, our kitchen garden and a spa that’s causing quite a stir.

And we’re growing.

New suites, exciting developments across the hotel and plenty more happening behind the scenes make this a brilliant time to join us.

What you'll be doing

As our Restaurant & Bar Supervisor, you'll be right at the heart of the action.

You'll:

  • Lead restaurant and bar shifts, keeping service running smoothly
  • Support our Restaurant & Bar Manager with the day-to-day running of the department
  • Get hands-on behind the bar – cocktails, wines, spirits, beers and everything in between
  • Help maintain excellent standards of drink preparation and presentation
  • Recommend drinks and confidently talk guests through our offering
  • Support and train the team to improve their own bar and service knowledge
  • Keep an eye on stock, wastage, cleanliness and bar setup
  • Lead by example during busy services
  • Help with inductions, training, rotas and team development
  • Deal confidently with guest requests and resolve issues when they arise
  • Share great feedback and keep the team motivated
  • Bring your own ideas and experience – we genuinely want to hear them

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
