The Venue
A cornerstone of South Yorkshire’s entertainment scene, Utilita Arena Sheffield has been welcoming audiences since 1991. Purpose-built for world-class live events, the arena hosts an exciting mix of international music acts, major sporting fixtures, and large-scale corporate events. With a capacity of over 13,000, it stands as one of the region’s premier venues, combining a rich history with a vibrant programme that continues to attract visitors from across the UK.
The Role
To lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the hospitality restaurant during events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through outstanding customer service, strong team leadership, and efficient operational delivery. This candidate will be responsible for managing restaurant service, supporting the Food & Beverage team, and ensuring all company standards, food safety requirements and licensing regulations are consistently met.
As a key member of the hospitality team, the Casual Restaurant Manager will lead by example, maintaining high standards whilst creating a welcoming and professional dining experience for all guests.
The Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the hospitality restaurant during events.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through high standards of service.
- Oversee restaurant service and support the wider Food & Beverage team.
- Ensure efficient operations and smooth service delivery throughout events.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and licensing regulations.
- Lead, motivate, and support team members to achieve excellent performance.
- Create a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable dining environment for guests.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience managing or supervising within a busy restaurant, hospitality or events environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation and licensing regulations.
- Confident decision-maker with a proactive attitude.
- Experience using EPOS systems
- Knowledge of premium hospitality and corporate dining service.
