Restaurant Manager – Nipotina, Mayfair
Nipotina has firmly established itself in the heart of Mayfair, bringing authentic Italian cuisine and a vibrant, refined dining experience to one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Restaurant Manager to join the team and take the lead in delivering consistently exceptional guest experiences, while supporting the team and driving the day-to-day success of the restaurant.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a busy, high-quality environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across every aspect of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day Front of House operation, ensuring service runs smoothly and consistently high standards are maintained.
- Lead, support and motivate the team, creating a positive working environment and maintaining strong team morale.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, development and performance of the FOH team.
- Ensure the restaurant is always prepared for service and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and compliance.
- Manage labour costs, cashing up, stock control and inventory, working closely with the wider management team to support profitability.
- Confidently handle guest feedback, complaints and special requests, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive experience.
- Maintain strong product, allergen and service knowledge across the team.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and the restaurant remains audit-ready.
- Drive sales and guest retention by identifying opportunities and building strong relationships with regulars, VIPs and key clientele.
- Work closely with the kitchen, finance, marketing and senior management teams to improve service, performance and guest satisfaction.
- Lead by example on the floor, supporting the team during busy services and stepping in wherever needed.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality and takes pride in delivering memorable experiences.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar senior management role, ideally within a premium or high-volume London restaurant.
- Be a confident and hands-on leader with strong communication and people management skills.
- Have a polished, professional presence and a genuine guest-focused approach.
- Be highly organised, reliable and able to manage multiple operational demands without compromising standards.
- Have excellent guest service skills and confidence handling complaints and challenging situations.
- Have strong product and allergen knowledge, with basic wine knowledge desirable.
- Be commercially aware, with an understanding of labour, stock and cost control.
- Be calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Be passionate about developing people and creating a strong, motivated team.
