As Restaurant Manager

As Restaurant Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our Front of House Management Team, driving exceptional guest experiences while supporting the overall operational success of the restaurant.

You will be responsible for leading and inspiring a large front of house team, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality, and operational excellence are consistently delivered. Working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, champion team development, and create an environment where both guests and colleagues thrive.

Your Requirements

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant during your shifts, ensuring seamless operations, exceptional guest satisfaction, and strong team engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the Front of House team to consistently deliver world-class hospitality.
  • Driving service excellence by maintaining the highest standards of guest experience throughout every service period.
  • Working closely with the General Manager to achieve departmental goals, maximise revenue opportunities, and control operational costs.
  • Managing daily restaurant operations, including floor management, team deployment, and service execution.
  • Building strong guest relationships, handling feedback professionally, and resolving guest concerns with confidence and care.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members through training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to build high-performing teams.
  • Monitoring labour, productivity, and operational efficiencies to support business objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, health and safety legislation, licensing requirements, and employment regulations.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen, bar, reservations, events, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador, promoting the culture, values, and standards of SUSHISAMBA at all times.

As a Restaurant Manager we would love you to have

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' management experience within a premium, luxury, or high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience leading large front of house teams in a fast-paced restaurant operation.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing labour, payroll, costs, and budgets.
  • The ability to make sound decisions and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • A hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the floor.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety, licensing, and employment legislation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive, energetic, and solutions-focused approach.
