Firmdale Hotels - Restaurant Manager Opportunity

Firmdale Hotels is renowned for its luxury boutique accommodations and exceptional service. Our Haymarket Hotel is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our food and beverage operations. As a Restaurant Manager at the Haymarket Hotel, you will be the driving force behind our food and beverage outlets. Your main responsibility will be to ensure seamless daily operations and exceptional customer service. You will work closely with senior management and your team to consistently exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the floor management of all Food & Beverage departments, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Conduct daily team briefings, providing updates on specials and essential information.
  • Proactively engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction through regular check-backs.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions to enhance service standards and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and refinement.
  • Work closely with the Bar Manager to curate wine and cocktail lists that complement our offerings.
  • Mentor and develop departmental managers to foster their growth and success.
  • Supervise the operations of the events department, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Manage labour schedules and rosters efficiently to optimise productivity.
  • Implement and supervise food safety and health & safety protocols.
  • Prepare forecasts, analyse performance, and manage budgets for Food & Beverage departments.
  • Develop and execute a promotional calendar to drive Food & Beverage sales.
  • Utilise social media channels to enhance Food & Beverage sales opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance and uphold standards of upselling.
  • Set monthly departmental objectives and benchmark progress.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and manage complaint resolution effectively.

What You Need:

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering outstanding standards.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and develop staff.
  • Proficiency in training and staff development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Impeccable personal presentation reflecting our brand's ethos.
  • Resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with Micros or similar hospitality software is desirable.
