Job Overview

The North Port Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and training staff, overseeing our drinks offering and delivering a memorable dining experience for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a vibrant hospitality environment, ensuring smooth restaurant functions and fostering a positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities, including wine and cocktails.
  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service whilst maintaining high standards of hospitality.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to optimise team efficiency.
  • Manage stock control to minimise waste.
  • Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally to uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality in food production and presentation.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to improve overall restaurant performance.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and drink.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and customer service excellence.
  • Experience in managing a barista or bar service is advantageous but not essential.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences while leading a dedicated team in a busy restaurant setting.

The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday. This role is usually worked over 4 days. There is also an equal share of tips of around £150 per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
