About FoodHutz

FoodHutz is a restaurant-tech platform bringing restaurant discovery, table reservations, online ordering, delivery, and collection into one connected ecosystem. The platform is already built and live. We are now focused on the next stage of growth: acquiring quality restaurant partners and building strong restaurant density in selected UK markets.

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Sales / Business Development professional who understands how to approach restaurant owners, build relationships, demonstrate commercial value, and convert conversations into active partnerships.

This is a freelance, activation commission + recurring revenue share + volume bonus.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and approaching suitable restaurants
  • Speaking directly with owners and decision-makers
  • Presenting FoodHutz
  • Handling objections
  • Closing partnerships
  • Supporting restaurants through the onboarding process until they are active on the platform

You will have flexibility in how you organize your work and pipeline. We are focused on results rather than fixed working hours.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify high-potential restaurants in agreed target areas
  • Contact restaurant owners through phone, email, LinkedIn, and face-to-face outreach
  • Present and demonstrate the FoodHutz platform
  • Understand each restaurant's commercial needs
  • Explain how FoodHutz can support reservations, ordering, delivery, collection, and customer engagement
  • Handle objections and negotiate partnerships
  • Close and onboard restaurant partners
  • Maintain your own sales pipeline and follow-ups
  • Share market feedback to help us improve our restaurant proposition

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who We're Looking For

We would particularly like to hear from people with experience in:

  • Restaurant or hospitality sales
  • Business development
  • Merchant acquisition
  • Food-tech
  • Restaurant reservation platforms
  • Food delivery
  • EPOS / POS systems
  • Payments
  • Hospitality SaaS
  • Digital services sold to restaurants

Existing relationships with restaurant owners, hospitality groups, or independent restaurant operators would be a significant advantage.

You should be comfortable working independently, speaking directly with business owners, and managing the complete sales process from prospecting through to activation.

Compensation

This is currently a activation commission + recurring revenue share + volume bonus.

Compensation will include:

  • Commission for successfully acquired and activated restaurants
  • Additional performance incentives for reaching agreed acquisition targets
  • Potential additional rewards based on the quality and performance of restaurant partnerships

The full commission structure will be discussed and agreed upon before starting.

For someone who demonstrates an ability to consistently acquire and activate strong restaurant partners, there is potential for the role to develop into a broader, longer-term commercial relationship with FoodHutz.

  • You won't be selling an idea that still needs to be built.
  • The technology already exists.
  • Our challenge now is getting FoodHutz into the hands of the right restaurants and developing a repeatable commercial growth engine.
  • You'll be joining at a stage where your results can directly influence how we build our restaurant acquisition strategy, sales process, and future market expansion.
  • Rather than becoming one salesperson inside a large organization, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the founder and have a visible impact on an early-stage technology company.

Initial Goal

Our first objective will be simple: Acquire and successfully activate the first group of high-quality restaurant partners within an agreed London territory. We will learn from those partnerships, refine the approach, and expand from there.

How to Apply

Please send us a short introduction answering the following:

  • What experience do you have in B2B, restaurant, or hospitality sales?
  • What types of businesses have you previously sold to?
  • Do you currently have relationships within the UK restaurant or hospitality sector?
  • How would you approach acquiring your first 10 restaurant partners for FoodHutz?

We're more interested in your ability to build relationships, understand restaurant owners, and close quality partnerships than in having a perfect CV.
