Job Objective
Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and fine dining environment.
Responsibilities And Task
- Provide an extraordinary hospitality experience
- Ensure beach club and dining room is set and ready for service to the Lovango standard with special attention to assigned section
- Complete designated opening and closing responsibilities
- Attends pre-shift in uniform ready to go for service
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in compliance with health code
- Wear a complete clean, designated, wrinkle free uniform and name tag
- Provide wine tool, pen, and bank for the shift
- Ensure proper sequence of service is completed for all guests
- Warmly greet each guest
- Supports staff in delivering food and beverage
- Inform of daily specials, signature dishes, and personal recommendations
- Up-sells brand name liquors, food and wine
- Enter orders in point-of-sale system using accurate table and seat numbers to ensure accurate delivery of food and beverage
- Ensure accuracy and quality on all orders of food and beverage before and after delivery
- Collect payment, provide correct change, and obtain signatures as appropriate for payment type
- Submit documentation of all payment transactions and complete a nightly check out with Supervisor or Manager
- Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information
- Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner
- Complete assigned cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure work is inspected by management prior to departure
- Proficiently perform all job duties in a fast-paced environment
- Protect our assets glassware, equipment, furniture, and fixtures
- Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees

Policies and Procedures
- Alcohol awareness program is strictly enforced
- Ensures all measures are taken to prevent virus and bacteria spread
- Management is involved in all guest and employee altercations
- All situations involving illegal substances needs to be reported to management
- Harassment of any type will not be tolerated
- Complies with all aspects of the Little Gem Resorts Handbook including time & attendance
- No smoking or vaping near or around guests
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Excellent people skills and outgoing personality
- Team player
- Maintains a current state health card permit
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs
- Ability to move up to 150 lbs., with wheeled assistance
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
- Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule
- Must be a service minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others
- Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to handle criticism
- Must be proactive

Minimum 2 years Food & Beverage experience required preferably as a Server. High school diploma preferred. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to obtain Food Service Sanitation certification. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
Successful applicant will pass pre-employment background check and must satisfactorily complete mandated I-9 Document from Homeland Security.
Please note our season is from December - End of July. All employees must be available for the full season.
